Root Canal Treatment
Toothache is one of the reasons people visit the dentist. Some aches are caused when bacteria (germs) infect your pulp (tooth nerve). This happens when the germs enter the nerve area through deep cavities or large cracks in the tooth, then your pulp (nerve) becomes abscessed. If that happens the pulp would need to be removed in order to save the tooth. The process of cleaning and filling the pulp space after an abscess is called Root Canal Treatment.
To avoid these unexpected visits to the dentist, and a root canal treatment, consider a regular dental visits… Call us today.
A veneer is an enhancement used on a tooth to improve it’s cosmetic appearance and protect the worn out and damaged surface. Often a veneer is a permanent solution that can last several years! There are two types of facets: Composite veneers and porcelain veneers.
A composite veneer covers the visible part of the tooth and adheres chemically, usually with composite material. It is layered on each tooth, using chemical agents to solidify the bond between the tooth and the restoration. A composite veneer is made chair-side and can be done in one session.
A porcelain veneer is a covering of porcelain that is affixed to the visible surface of the tooth by cementation. A porcelain veneer is made in the laboratory to fit and gives a more natural and lustrous appearance. Generally porcelain veneers are more durable than a composite facet.

TMJ and Clenching / Grinding / Bruxism
TMJ disorder or TMD is a group of disorders that consist of myo-facial pain, internal derangement of the joint, and/or inflammation of the joint in the form of arthritis. Habitual clenching and grinding of the teeth, trauma to the jaw, whiplash from automobile accidents, and sleep apnea can generally aggravate the problem.
The symptoms of TMD can range from muscle stiffness in the jaw and temple areas, discomfort when opening and closing the mouth, clicking, grating, or popping of the joint when in motion, radiating pain in the face and jaw areas, limited movement of the jaw or even a lock jaw, as well as migraines and headaches.
There are various interventions that can be done in order to minimize these symptoms. These modalities are neuromuscular approach, acupuncture, IMS, and physiotherapy.
